Resume

Lead Copywriter, Fox Creative (Foxtel)
2019 – now
At the end of 2019 I decided to try something different. After years of looking at brands from the outside, it was time to change one from within. Working across the advertising and brand teams, I’ve helmed two major campaigns, helped orchestrate a rebrand, and written more promos than I can count. Most importantly, I’ve learnt just how different it is on the inside.

Head of Writing, Interbrand Australia
2017 – 2019
Managing projects. Leading pitches. Training teammates. Drinking coffee. As Head of Writing I was responsible for setting the tone and direction for Interbrand’s creative, and was lucky enough to not only work with some of Australia’s best brands, but also its best people.

Senior Writer, Interbrand Australia
2014 – 2017
XXVI taught me how to write. Interbrand taught me the rest. It was here that the full world of branding was opened up to me, as I learnt how language could set fire to design and strategy, and often become the bridge between the two.

Food, Lifestyle & Travel Writer, Great Aussie Bite
2014 – 2015 (Freelance)
Will write for food. This online magazine was my ticket to Sydney’s best restaurants, bars and experiences, and gave me the opportunity to work on a brand voice for, well, me.

Writer, XXVI
2013 – 2014
Finally – a gig as a writer, and they’d even pay me! It may sound like hyperbole, but taking a pay cut to go learn at Australia’s first dedicated brand voice agency is probably the best decision I’ve ever made.

Strategist & Account Manager, OMD
2011 – 2013
My time in media taught me how to think strategically, talk to clients, manage budgets and wrangle Excel spreadsheets so monstrous I still have the occasional nightmare.

Bachelor of Arts, Southern Cross University
2010
A study of advertising, journalism, university bars, and media.

Diploma in Advertising, Macleay College
2009
Where I first learned the difference between copyright and copywriting, proving to be useless at the former but surprisingly decent at the latter.
